North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell AS Level resources

I’m preparing to teach North and South for the first time and creating podcasts and study vlogs which hopefully students will find useful.
The podcast series has chapter-by-chapter commentaries and a few topical podcasts about the Victorian era and Margaret as a subversive heroine.

The study vlog starts by looking at Patsy Stoneman’s feminist reading of the novel, looking at the intersection of class and gender.
I’ve also uploaded a document about the Victorian crisis of faith (to accompany the podcast) and a compilation of past paper questions with mark scheme comments from the chief examiner.
