For 28th September: On this very day, just over 90 years ago Scottish doctor Alexander Fleming discovered penicillin after returning from holiday to a cluttered and untidy laboratory. Yet he was able to look into the clutter and the mess and see something which he could barely believe existed. He was comfortable with chaos and not distracted.
This assembly address asks the question: “In this post-lockdown time in the world, we could easily describe our situation as chaotic and messy, but if we look closely, we too might find opportunities of the greatest value.”
