Phonics - Read Write Inc - Set 4 Further Additional Sounds (A6 Flashcards)

Also suitable for ALL phonic learning systems such as Jolly Phonics, Letter & Sounds, etc.

To compliment the Read Write Inc. phonics this set includes the additional sounds that are listed by the DFeS for the various phases that haven’t been included elsewhere. Together with the official sets 1, 2 and 3 and the additional sets (that are available here on TES) this completes the KS1 sounds.

The included sounds are:

our, y(i), ui(i), le, el, eer, ture, o(u), gh, eau(u), ve, al(ar), al(or), war(wor) and wor(wur).

Also included are the additional sounds: 5 of the ‘ough’ sounds (aw/or, ow, uf, oe, of), augh, aigh, 2 ‘eigh’ (ay and ie) sounds. These sounds, though applicable in Year 2 are also suited to Year 3.

It consists of A6 flashcards (4 sounds per page) showing the image reversed with sound that match the size of the existing flash cards (sets 1, 2 and 3).

I would appreciate reviews and/or comments, and on how to improve/add to the resource… for example, are there any additional sounds that have been missed…
