I like to give you with these photos an impression of Spring season in my own green city Amsterdam by this selection of free pictures. Amsterdam has many different faces, so I try to give a variation of pictures of Spring in my city with its characteristic lights and colors…

Spring you can meet really in every street. Because in Amsterdam a green urban revolution has taken place between 1990 - 2010. In many of the streets you discover it. Many Amsterdam people started their own green things. On many places you will meet small front-gardens, guerrilla-parks / gardens and street-gardens of big plant pots on the pavement, everywhere through the whole city. So the city shows now not only the official public green parks like Vondelpark. Now you meet Nature and seasons almost in every street, in the colors, forms of the leaves, their shadows, the light from above…

I hope that very soon a new revolution will take place in my city - for healthy air. Now the air quality of Amsterdam is poor. A first nice step would be: the canal-boats for sightseeing on green-electric!! Just like the trams and metro already do in Amsterdam.
