Father’s Day has always been one of the toughest gift-giving holidays for me to plan. It’s challenging to buy anything for my dad. And he’s not the only one—some dads want to be pampered on their special day, but many resist the fuss and gifts.

That doesn’t mean Father’s Day isn’t still important to him, as a time to let him know that I appreciate and am thinking of him. Recently, I learned that he’s still saving a Father’s Day card I’d written fifteen years ago.
