PSHE Jobs & Salaries

Resources based on Jigsaw PSHE curriculum: Dreams & Goals unit (Piece 2) . Resources could be adapted for other PSHE lessons surrounding Jobs, Careers and Salaries. I used these resources for a lesson with a year 5 class.

The lesson could be begin by using the Jigsaw resources (the different job cards or you could find different pictures of jobs if you use a different scheme of work to Jigsaw) and then playing Job Charades in small groups. Each person in the group could take it in turns to answer YES or NO to questions to see if the other people in the group can guess the job correctly.

Resource 1 is word document that contains 3 reflection questions and 3 job salary questions that could be used at different times during the lesson. I used the reflection questions at the end of the lesson to promote discussion and allow the children to think about the jobs and careers that we had spoken about during the lesson. I used the 3 job salary questions to promote discussion about whether we thought job salaries we fare or not.
