Pupils add blocks next to each other to create an answer above. If there is an empty box it may mean they need to subtract with the box below to find the missing answer. Great way of getting pupils to understand when they need to add or subtract in a missing number question.
This starts simple and gets progressively harder. All answers don’t go above 100,000.
