Reading comprehension winter short story text that focuses on particular aspects of the English language, word work and grammar.

Extra Adverbs Presentation (8 Slides) – Outlining 4 main adverbs and exceptions (Time, Manner, Place, Frequency) – It also highlights that not all adverbs end in –ly e.g. friendly, cowardly).

Literacy Plan – includes learning objectives and plenaries – PowerPoint Slides are referred to in the lessons.

• Writing sentences below sequenced pictures to tell the story.
• Punctuation review - differentiated to include capital letter, full stop, exclamation and question mark tasks

• Word work focus on writing interesting words for ‘said’ (synonyms) - to increase children’s vocabulary
