Today's problems are ones that require children to think carefully about what they have to do. There are two problems for KS1 and two for KS2.

In KS1 problem children have to use information about two plates of food to work out the cost of a fried egg. They then have to work out time problems.

At KS2 children potentially need to use all four operations and the problems can be solved using bar modelling. The first one is similar to the train and football one from last week, except the picture doesn't make the approach as obvious.

Every day in March the White Rose Maths Hub is aiming to put out a question of the day.

Tweet us @WRMathsHub a picture of your children's answers for a chance to win a prize.
