The following project looks at amazing structures found in nature

Overview:

It’s based around structures in nature and contains 3 practical/building elements based on Chemistry, Biology and Physics.

Chemistry - Allotropes of Carbon, properties etc and its uses in modern medicine + Practical element is to build a buckyball!

Physics - Hexagons in Nature and why they’re important e.g. looking at energy and decreasing it + Cooking elements - Make some honeycombs.

Biology - Viruses, learn about the different structures of viruses, how they infect us and how our body fights back + Practical Element - students make their own Bacteriophages!
