SEN Medium Term Plan for Apple Crumble-Visual Instructions and Symbols.

This unit of work includes: an editable medium term plan, instructions with supporting symbols/tick boxes, as well as, separate word bank symbols (could be used in a similar way to PECS). Soft skills include effective communication and social interaction, working with increased independence and reading. Allows for inclusive learning, supports independence and encourages those with SEND to remain engaged. Visual supports encourage communicate with a child who has difficulty understanding or using language. Research has shown that visual supports work well as a way to communicate.
