A 6 week unit including planning and differentiated Widgit (Communicate in Print) resources. Work is differentiated for a wide range of children to access - I am currently teaching children working at mainstream Y1 - Y5.
Unit of work includes:
- To investigate the different continents and countries of the world.
- To investigate and name 1-3 different cities and towns.
- To investigate and identify different types of currencies.
- To investigate and identify different languages around the world.
- To investigate different festivals around the world and to investigate the symbolism of these.
- To explore how weddings are different around the world.
Each lesson starts with a practical/verbal task and then a written task which can be completed with an adult, as a group or independently depending on the needs within your class.
