The starter revises using perimeter and the sum of angles to form and solve equations to find unknowns. The lesson extends this topic by labeling angles and lengths with expressions with two unknowns. For instance, one pair of opposite sides of a rectangle are both expressions in x allowing the student to find the value of x. The other pair of sides of the rectangle are expressions in x and y, allowing the student to also find y. The worksheet has 10 questions involving both angles and sides and a variety of shapes.
