I love resources from The Poetry Society, they are always really accessible. I used this with a mid to higher ability year 8 class today and it worked well, it's a good route in to writing poetry.

A simple lesson but I will definitely use it with my P7 as part of our WWII topic. Thank you!

A simple but very effective idea that I would use as part of a war poetry unit - but is equally adaptable to any topic. Introduces students to editing and redrafting in a fun and engaging way.
