Sign of Four - first two weeks of a scheme learning designed to:
-Introduce the pre-19th Century text of The Sign of Four.
-Use a range of AQA Literature Paper 1 (pre- 19th century text) style questions.
-Develop the skills and understanding of all students by incorporating AQA Language Paper 2 style questions.
-Embed lessons that present students with the opportunity to Close the Gap on their immediate work the following lesson.
Lessons 1-5 focus on The Sign of four and AO1 and AO2 skills
Lessons 6-10 have a reading of The Sign of Four whilst introducing a range of thematically linked non-fiction texts to develop AO3 for Language.
All Lessons begin with a short AO5/AO6 task that can be immediately up-levelled to show progress.
All resources are included for adaptation on the main PowerPoint.

This is the first time I've purchased a resource and I must say I feel miss sold here. There are only four lessons actually on 'The Sign of Four'. On other slides there's just a reference to reading it. Yes, the other resources are OK, but they were not what I was looking for. In addition, if I'm paying for resources, I expect them to be grammatically correct. I have had to correct some SPAG errors and the use of picture for text extracts makes it difficulty to edit. Not really impressed.
An outstanding SOL that clearly outlines all parts of the lesson linked to assessment objectives. As well as showing resources for 'The Sign of Four' there are resources to develop reading skills for Language paper 2 and Literature paper 1. Highly recommended. <br /> <br /> I hope there is a medium plan to follow and another sequence of lessons! This has already saved me hours of work.
