A series of lessons (2-3) on using similarity to find areas and volumes. The lesson has 2 RAG sheets on area and volume which are differentiated to 3 levels. The lesson also includes problem solving tasks such as algebra, finding different scale factors and using them accordingly to find missing lengths, areas and volumes. Used on top set year 11 and all were engaged and challenged

All tasks have full solutions to it is easy to peer and self assess during the lesson. The lesson includes reasoning and problem solving tasks which ensure that this is suitable for the 9-1 GCSE curriculum. I have used this lesson and pupils were engaged yet challenged.
