A simple PowerPoint presentation that introduces the names of the bones in the human body. Using Montessori principles, the slides are highly contrasted, presenting first the skeletal structure where the bone or bones being named are highlighted in red. Distractions are illuminated allowing students to focus on the isolated bone or bones. On the next click, the bone is named as the label slides in from the right. Can be used to introduce the names and to reinforce them. Also included is a challenging and interactive multiple-choice quiz presentation with a control of error.
The presentation and interactive multiple-choice quiz are supported with printable nomenclature cards. Detailed instructions on how to prepare this resource and use them, are included. There are also two booklet templates. A larger format one for younger students and smaller ones for students in higher grades. The labels are printed in a dotted, traceable font on the large and small sets, however, an unlabelled set is included in the small size for students who like a challenge.
