This is an engaging thanksgiving themed practice or turkey themed task cards/slides on solving systems of linear equations by substitution. The slides with problems are eight. On each slide there is given one system of linear equations. Students have to solve it and type their answers in boxes provided. Then students are asked to evaluate an expression of type ax+by for the value of the variables x and y that they have already obtained. Thus learners not only practice solving systems by substitution, but they “touch” on the method by which systems of linear equations are created.
This product can be used as independent/extra practice, homework assignment.
Answer keys are contained at the end of this document.
