Activity showing students how a sound wave could be sampled using an Excel workbook.

An 'analogue' sound wave is displayed on a graph, and students can input their own 'samples' which can be used to digitally represent the wave. Two different sample rates are used which allows the demonstration of how sample rates can affect sound quality.

The student workbook, and a worked example are included.

Great interactive spreadsheet that gives high and low rate sampling waves as output.
