This is a paper version of Connect Four. Students play in pairs. Students must correctly identify the coordinates of the square (soccer and checkers). Make the game more challenging by having the students form sentences. If wrong, the partner gets the square. Partners alternate turns. The goal is to get 4 squares in a row.
Other than the title, the game is all pictures, so it may be used with any language.
Vocabulary used: biking, checkers, skating, cards, jogging/running, chess, swimming, video games, soccer, golf, baseball, tennis, football, volleyball, hockey, basketball. Second version in grayscale.
