I use this exercise when starting in Excel. The students have normally done Word already so are familiar with the formatting toolbar. I then go on with this to practice inserting and deleting rows and columns in different ways (so they can see when eyes and noses disappear) We also do drag and drop – turning our face into a jigsaw by dragging out the features and then dragging them back. You can also go on to working with the format cell menus to add borders for glasses, or a moustache … Hope you have fun with this.

Thank you for sharing. I will adapt and use with my new group tomorrow who I have never met before. Break the ice a bit doing it as a group.
