I agree that "adding zeros" and "moving the decimal point" are mathematically incorrect, and I was fully aware of this issue when writing this. However, I feel that it is important for the students to be able to get the correct answers, and the methods I've used in the powerpoint achieve that, especially for lower ability students. I will take your feedback on board however, and alter the powerpoint today so that this addresses your feedback.

I've totally revised this resource today, it contains 40 new slides using a mathematically correct method (new examples). I've left slides using the original method at the end of the powerpoint for anyone who still wishes to use that method.<br /> I would be really grateful if you could revise (possibly by deleting and readding, or editing it), as I've spent a considerable time (most of today) revising this resource in response to your feedback above).
