Step-by-Step Guide to Egyptian Mummification

This resource describes the step by step process of preserving a dead body by mummification in Ancient Egypt. It includes several images of tomb treasures and artefacts and describes how science helps us learn in many different subject areas.

There are ideas for Discussion and Activities around the subject, and a PowerPoint file to download, in which pupils need to match the correct canopic jar with the organ it protected. Perfect for a starter or a plenary activity.
