Lesson outline: Analysing photographic evidence of two Stone Age settlements to identify the similarities and differences in the style and construction of Neolithic houses.

Lesson description: Pupils will use photographic evidence to compare Skara Brae and the Stonehenge Houses. They will learn that, despite the two settlements being hundreds of miles apart, there are important similarities between them. They will record their findings on an easy-to-use Venn diagram so they can easily see what was different about the buildings and what was the same.

Suggested duration: 1 - 1.5 hours.
