I made these card for students at GCSE who really struggle with the volume of knowledge required. Using them I found that students who fell below the level 4 threshold made much better progress in the 2019 examination series (Edexcel).
The cards address 36 Cold War events, and students learn the events by linking two consequences to the event.
The events are in red; the consequence in blue; and an extension green card for those students who are able to attain level 5+ with sensible revision.
They can also learn the story of the Cold War by sequencing the cards chronologically.
I used the cards for paired activities; home revision and starter activities.
Just cut out and laminate.
