A table tennis scheme of work using sport education. The idea being that pupils learn core values through teaching themselves and their team. Each member of the group is assigned a role for that sport, they then carry this role out throughout the unit of work.
The manager will be in charge of the teams folder who will give the coach the resource materials for each lesson. This will comprise of how to warm up, what equipment to get, what the activities will consist of and resource cards to teach each new skill. Pupils will then complete these activities before taking part in games against the other teams.
Points can be awarded or taken away. This provides competition between the groups to be the overall winning team.
This scheme of work consists of:
- Levels criteria.
- Role descriptions and assignment of roles.
- Points tracker and how to achieve points descriptor.
- 12 lessons worth of resource materials including warm ups/equipment needed/activity instructions and teaching cards.
