Phonological Awareness 2-5 minutes

Activities:

  1. Find the pictures that begins with /th/.

  2. Find the pictures that ends with /th/.

  3. Change the beginning or ending sound to /th/ to form a new word.

  4. Write ‘th’ on the line if it you hear the /th/ sound.

Introduction

  1. Teacher shows the poster and explain what a digraph is.

  2. Teacher shows the mouth formation poster and demonstrates how to produce the /th/ sound.

  3. Teacher explains that the digraph th can be found at the beginning or ending part of the word.

Blending Drill

  1. Teacher demonstrates how to read the words by blending the sounds.

It says the resource teaches the 'th' diagraph but all the worksheets are actually about 'wh'. It is a good resource but the description does not match.
