The Buzz Saw: Creative Writing Activity Worksheet

This resource is a scaffold for creative writing at KS3/4. Using the images, pupils can work on character, setting, voice, story... The opening and closing lines come from Robert Frost’s poem Out, out –. The stills come from James Mangold’s film, Walk the Line. I then like to upload the document to Google docs, sharing with pupils, before setting them tasks (in groups or pairs) to work on different aspects of the story simultaneously.
