Absolutely brilliant. Thank you so much. Saved a lot of time.
Takes those who understand Pie Corbett and his Talk for Writing to understand what amazing work you have done. Thanks again.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY buying this. It’s advertised as lesson plans for The Day The Crayons Quit, but it’s a load of random things instead, including Little Red Riding Hood. Waste of money.

Apologies that this resource is not to your liking.
The lessons are planned in response to the book itself, emerging the children in the characters and giving them a deeper understanding of the text. We use Pie Corbett’s Talk for Writing method to inspire the children using lots of talk, drama, role play etc to foster that deeper understanding. The ‘random things’ that you mention are different ways of immersing the children and getting them engaged with the text. It also gives them a purpose for writing which helps with creativity.
The Little Red Riding Hood aspect that you have mentioned is a SMALL part of ONE lesson in which we practise the skill of being able to read stories without words. And is also an example of what a ‘good’ text map looks like. The planning (if you read through fully) does not go off on a tangent and start focusing on traditional tales. Again, this is a Pie Corbett method of teaching whereby the children learn the structure, vocabulary etc of the text (with actions and pictures) so they can reinvent it and create their own, using the skills that have been immersed in.
