A series of thirteen lessons suitable for use as a unit of work in English or separate Literacy lessons. Each lesson has overall objectives and a literacy focus (including paragraphing, apostrophes, noun and adverbial phrases) and, whilst designing and exploring an imaginary island, students complete several different types of writing (including a press release, poem, story, description). All resources are included and each lesson is fully powerpointed. An independent learning homework project to last from the beginning to the end of the unit is also included.
