This resource was delivered over three-four weeks to my students and accounts for around 10-12 lessons dependent upon the time you attribute to each task. This resource should be delivered after the 2022 EDUQAS GCSE COMP 2 paper has been set to students and marked.
**IMPORTANT: This resource covers ‘Luther’/ ‘The Sweeney’ (briefly) and ‘Bad Blood’/ ‘Uptown Funk’. Whilst elements can be taken and used if you do not teach these texts, it is better suited for the TV Crime/ ‘Bad Blood’/ ‘Uptown Funk’ texts.

THE PREMISE- Your students have symptoms (things they got wrong in the exam) but have no fear, you are about to put them on an intensive course of media-cation. To support YOU, I have included my Deaprtmental marking codes to help with the marking of the mock as well as my students EBI’S. Feel free to use/ adapt or structure your own feedback. What follows is an in-depth exploration not only into each of the 5 questions one by one but also:
-Exemplar examples
-Top tips and timings for the exam
-How to deconstruct the audio/visual
-Visual examples (Good Samaritan) infographics as to how I would have tackled each question.
-Embed/redraft tasks
-Revision of key aspects
-Assessment for Learning
And much, much more.
Please follow the notes in the power point in the notes section of each slide for advice, additional reading/help and guidance on how to get the best out the resource.
In addition, I printed two separate work packs for the students to work through in the lesson, one for Section A, one for Section B. Slides to print (Activity sheets/ redraft sheets etc.) for each pack are listed below:
SECTION A PACK: SLIDES 4,5,10,16,19,20,21,25,26,33
SECTION B PACK: SLIDES 36, 37, 38, 40, 41, 43, 45
My students LOVED this resource and it is ideal for responsive marking, the betterment of work and revision, especially close to exam season.
NOTE: I am following EDUQAS Teaching Model 1 in my teaching/ SOW and my school is only providing Media Studies at GCSEl, as a three-year Course. Moreover, some of the tasks in lesson and for H/W are dependent upon owning the EDUQAS GCSE Revision Guide.
If you liked this resource and found it useful, it would be greatly appreciated if you could feedback or rate my resource as I am constantly trying to adapt and refine my resources to improve the learning of my students. Many thanks.
