There continues to be a shift of population from farming areas into urban areas in Thailand. This unit has a focus on a family involved in this process. It will answer the reasons for the shift and highlight the consequences for those moving from rural low-moderate density population areas to the city of Bangkok - a high density of population area. The maps and the photographs provide clear evidence of the consequences face by those living in a large city. Use the activity fill-in page as a hand out or project it for class discussion.
