This resource is a PowerPoint lesson plan for students learning about the scientific method. Suitable for KS3 or KS2
It requires some "mystery tins" which many schools have in their prep room or are easily made, these are used to demonstrate the steps of the scientific method. Then students then follow the steps of the scientific method to complete a mini investigation to find out what is in the tins without opening them up, followed by them evaluating the methods they used and thinking about how they could improve their ideas further.
The PowerPoint also includes the steps of the scientific method and a definition for hypothesis that the students can note down.
