This play script has been written based on the F. L Baum story of The Wonderful Wizard of OZ. This is suitable to be performed in upper stages of primary/early secondary.
I have adapted the script to make the performance approximately 1 hour 15 mins if you include songs at the suggested points in the song. I have also included a list of characters required, costume plot and song plot.
Due to the licensing surrounding the film and music from it, it is suggested you select other appropriate songs to suit the storyline.
This is a super choice for a school drama group or club to perform as a school show. It’s well known and popular with audiences and performers alike and this version gives the school a lot more autonomy over the musical elements or can be used as a play only. There are lots of large and small speaking roles and singing can be chosen to suit.
