This is a complete resource set for a lesson in which the children research a Titanic survivor before presenting the key information in the form of a boarding card for the journey.

The set includes:

  • Powerpoint presentation setting the scene, including the opportunity to view original footage of the boarding of the Titanic;
  • 15 passenger photograph cards for distribution to the class - these include both male and female passengers from different classes on-board the ship. All can be easily researched online and information about them is widely available;
  • Recording sheet for key facts about each passenger;
  • Blank Titanic boarding card with space for the children to record the information they have found under appropriate headings.

This resource was originally used with a Year 6 class but would suit students in a wider age range.

There are some useful resources here but to be honest, I expected a much more informative power point given that I paid £5 for it. More information about different passengers could have been included in the power point.
