Included is an excerpt of Holes (copyright to author Louis Sachar), Chapters One and Two.
The length of the excerpt is similar to that of a KS2 SATs reading text. Retrieval questions based on the excerpt have also been included. As well as this, there is a PPT which gives some important reading tips to help students understand how to answer retrieval based questions.
