Valentine's Day Math Craft Addition and Subtraction Year 2, Year 3, Year 4

Have some fun practising addition and subtraction this Valentine’s Day with a fun letterbox craft where students stick on stamps and post math envelopes.

It’s easy to differentiate with the following options included:

• Numbers within 20
• Adding/subtracting a single digit to/from a 2-digit number
• 2-digit numbers without regrouping
• 2-digit numbers with regrouping
• 3-digit numbers without regrouping
• 3-digit numbers with regrouping
• 3-digit numbers without regrouping

For numbers within 20 and adding/subtracting a single digit to/from a 2-digit number, students choose which stamp to add, then use the number on the stamp to fill the math equation before working out the answer.

For 2-digit and 3-digit numbers, students solve the equations and then glue on the stamp that matches the answer.
