Valentine's Day (Stories and Vocabulary)

There are 4 fun exercises in this two-page Valentine’s Day worksheet ( 5 small stories, love phrasal verbs- meaning matching, complete the sonnet and unscramble letters). It is a pdf file designed for intermediate level students or native speakers of English. The first exercise includes 5 short stories about Valentine’s day and students are asked to find out if they are true or not. Each story has a phrasal verb in the box and choosing the correct meaning of the phrasal verb will help them do so. Then, they have to match some “love” phrases to their meanings. A famous sonnet by Shakespeare follows which they have to complete with the words in the box. Finally, they have to unscramble letters to make words. An answer key is provided.
