This work was written in response to teachers asking me questions like.
What is a rich task?
How do I make maths more engaging?
Why do you advocate not always using single learning objectives?
How can we connect parts of maths together?
We add maths ideas to our themes, how can we start with maths and build a theme from that?
It was also written with the change in pedagogy in Wales as a result of a focus on the 5 principles of progression.
This resource is aimed at Y5 + but can and should be used as a professional learning activity to discuss what is different about this unit.
