The presentation is aimed at facilitating a better understanding of word formation and recognizing parts of speech. The worksheets are suitable for Intermediate (B1) and higher-level ESL teenage and adult students.
The worksheets include a grammar reference as well as the following types of exercises suitable for classwork and homework:
- gap-fill exercises,
- creating word forms,
- word choice.
- identifying the parts of speech
By the end of the lesson, the students will be able to use the correct word forms; recognize the parts of speech, and correctly apply prefixes and suffixes.
The exercises stimulate the students to use dictionaries to explore the realms of word formation. The tasks are mostly created on the topics of happiness, environment, job, and traveling.
