Hi there. Planning on doing something like this for my school this summer term. Wondered if this was adaptable for this year's World Cup, and if so, how? Thanks!
Ace resource this - all abilities in upper KS2 able to access it and pick a team within the budget. They have loved following their progress so far.
Thanks very much for this. I've got 12 classes of juniors + staff taking part, with some willing children to enter the teams.
Will use format, thank you for the brain work.
Thanks for a great resource but I think I’ve found an error in the formula. I’ve changed the formula in my spreadsheet so that each team will score 5 points for winning every match including the final and 10 bonus points for reaching the additional rounds after the group stages. We will enter the number of goals after normal time. A team that is in the knockout rounds might be drawing 1-1 at the end of normal time but then might go on to win 3-2 after extra time or 6-5 after a penalty shoot-out. We will enter the result as w,1,1. This is my formula: =SUM(COUNTIF($E4:$AC4,"w")*win+COUNTIF($E4:$AC4,"d")*draw)+(F4+J4+N4+R4+V4+Z4+AD4)*gf+(G4+K4+O4+S4+W4+AA4+AE4)*ga+(H4+L4+P4+T4+X4+AB4+AF4)*red+COUNTIF(Q4:AC4,"w")*nextround+COUNTIF(Q4:AC4,"l")*nextround Thanks for updating the spreadsheet with all of teams. The children at my school loved this four years ago and I’m sure it will be just as popular this year too. Oh, just one final point the winner’s certificate refers to South Africa 2010 rather than Brazil 2014. Great resource, many thanks! ?
