A 21-slide PowerPoint presentation which starts with a Do Now activity covering German topics covered so far. It then recaps two ways to state opinions (“Ich liebe/mag/hasse…” and “Ich finde es…”) before introducing a third way: “am liebsten”/“lieber”/"(gar) (nicht) (sehr) gern". There is then a listening activity based on “Ich finde…” sentences and a video about football. After that is a “spot the mistakes” activity and a conversation to practise in pairs. There is then a translation into English and into German and then information on why giving opinions and reasons is important (in the context of the GCSE mark scheme). There is then an introduction to “weil”, “da”, and “denn” and some practice with a dice game. It ends with a recap of key facts and a short writing exercise to put it together.
