Year 4 Geography - Rivers - Medium Term Plan

This resource is a medium term plan, containing 6 lessons, based around the topic of rivers. The plan is focused on the Year 4 curriculum, with many cross-curricular links involved in the work. Cross-curricular links & SMSC considered and included.

1. To understand and describe the stages of the water cycle.
2. To write a diary entry detailing the life of a water droplet.
3. To describe the journey of a river and the landforms created when the river moves down it’s course.
4. To research rivers around the world.
5. To create our own models of the river course and landforms.
6. To learn about the Earth’s structure.
