This assessment and these lessons have been created to help determine the understanding of students and embed relevant skills necessary to approach KS3 history. It is recommended that the students complete the baseline test; the results are recorded but not shared. The 6 lessons are taught and then the test is repeated and progress monitored. This will help for planning and differentiation for the year. This also contains a 34 page work booklet with 6 hoursof activities forstudents to use eitherin class or for home learning - useful for students who are working from home. No other resource needed. HUMANITIES TRANSITION UNITS OF LEARNING FOR HISTORY AND GEOGRAPHY
This bundle contains two units of work 1. What is Geography? 2. What is History? for year 7. Each unit contains 6 lessons and is fully resourced, so no text book is needed. Lessons enable new year 7 students to demonstrate and consolidate their primary school learning while learning and developing new key skills essential for the study of history and geography in key stage 3 and beyond. Both units also contain an additional assessment resource to enable teachers to plan and differentiate for their classes.
