The following resources I've adapted or created to create a scheme of work intended to introduce year 8 students to the codes and conventions used in print media, focusing on magazines and newspapers. For lesson 8, I did not save a digitical copy of the two articles used. They are &'How to stop vuvuzelas from taking over the world&'; by Conor McNamara and 'A stern defence of the vuvuzela&' bu Paul Geiss. I found these online, and hope that you&';re able to obtain through a search :) Please visit my website to download the entire SOW.

Saved my behind! Last minute, drained and exhausted, I had to make this unit for an 100 minute lesson to teach careers in English. More than enough resources here for teachers to use. A little tweek required to fit in with school policy but ready to go and I can...ahhh... relax!

Loved the lesson planning. It also helped me to deconstruct some of the topics.
