Year 9/10 COMPLETE An Inspector Calls SOW

This is a 11 lesson Scheme of Work to introduce An Inspector Calls for the first time. The SOW is based on the new AQA assessment objectives and focuses on the concept of analysing the LANGUAGE, STRUCTURE and FORM of the play whilst exploring the context, characters and themes in the play. The lessons are 100 minutes long so it could be spread out over more than 11 lessons if needed. This SOW encompasses creative writing tasks as well as developing analytical writing skills. Opportunities to use your own extracts/quotations. It includes preparation for assessment and a reading assessment.
