Topic front covers for students for the new AQA Geography specification. So far I have created one for the Physical landscapes in the UK, the Living world and the challenge of resource management (focus on water). Each front cover has a page for the students targets, what they need to know for the section of the course, the homework questions with space to record the grade they achieved and the topic vocabulary.

When printed onto A3 students play against each other to see who can answer the most questions under the clock or who can finish the whole board first. Students write their answers on post-it notes so that the boards can be used again and again.

A PowerPoint I deliver to my students just before the exam. It contains advice on answering types of questions and has all three of the revision PowerPoint's for the physical paper in (restless earth, water on the land and coastal zone) just encase they want to double check anything before going into the exam.

An inset I carried out in a morning briefing about helping parents to be involved in their child's education at secondary level. The INSET contains 3 main ideas which I have tried and tested.

An SDME which focuses on volcanoes.

A lesson looking at the reasons behind living with volcanic neighbours.

A lesson focusing on the different ways that volcanic eruptions can be managed and predicted.

A lesson looking at the impacts of the Mt St Helens volcanic eruption.

A lesson which looks at the parts and characteristics of different volcanoes.

A lesson looking at the distribution of earthquakes and volcanoes across the world.

A lesson which looks at the four types of plate boundaries.

A lesson that looks at the structure of the earth and the two types of crust.

A lesson looking at natural hazards in general and where they occur around the world.

These revision cards have the question on one side and the answers on another, therefore they can be folded and laminated for students to use to revise in groups or have mini competitions. The cards are related the information given in the AQA A revision PowerPoints I have created for each topic. The revision cards cover 6 topics which include coastal zone, restless earth, rivers, urban change, population change and tourism. I have uploaded the word document versions of the cards, so that if your school does different case studies the information can be changed.

A resource to help students go over the tests at KS3 and carry out reflections. In my school these reflections are carried out in purple pen, therefore the resource focuses on this colour.

A PowerPoint which goes through the mark scheme in a student friendly way for the 2012 paper. Question 7d is from the 2015 paper.

This PowerPoint goes through the mark scheme for students for the population change section of the 2013 exam.

A resource created for KS3 students to carry out a DME on where a wind farm should be built. This would last around 3 lessons ending in a debate. However the resources can be used to re organise the lesson in a number of different ways.
