This is not a presentation in the traditional sense! It is an opportunity for members of your class to work independently at a computer, search for the hyperlinks on the image and research information about Henry VIII and answer the questions in the multiple choice quiz.
I made this to encourage students to work independently. It works like a mini website and they enjoyed trying to find all 10 hyperlinks that are hidden in the picture.
Of course it's much safer than a website and you can assess their research with the quiz.
The image of Henry with dots on is just to you where the hyperlinks are! Students don't see this!

One 'Complete the Victorian Children's Clothing' worksheet, which is of three children.
An exciting 'Exciting Words' starter.
Get your students into small groups. Lay out the 'boring words' on each table. (e.g. said, little, sad) Give the groups 5 minutes to write as many exciting words as they can, which they could use instead of the boring word, around each boring word. e.g. around 'said' they could write 'exclaimed' 'whispered' 'gasped'.
Next ask the groups to move to a new boring word and see if they can add any more words.
I usually ask them to move once more.
Next ask a student from each group to read out the exciting words.
This could be an activity where they use a thesaurus.
This resource includes a 'teachers notes' sheet which has lots of good examples for each word.
Display this work to inform the next piece of writing.
Read your class the ancient Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur and then ask them to sort the facts into true and false. Next ask students to sequence the true facts which gives a summary of the story! They can copy the story into their books.

The Story to Read
True Facts
False Facts

Teach colours, months and days of the week with this exciting, interactive bundle. This range of different ideas and resources will engage different types of learners.
DAYS OF THE WEEK
There are four resources within this presentation!
1. Learn and Test the Days of the Week in French (Slide 3).
Use as whole class work, where together you go through the days of the week, working on pronunciation. Each time you click the French word will appear next to the English. Initially you can click so they are reading it but then work up to clicking after they have said it. Stretch the more able: Invite students to have a go on their own in front of their peers if they feel confident enough. Alternatively pair a student with good pronunciation to work with a student with weaker pronunciation to work at the computer together.
2. Match the Days of the Week in French to English Using slide 4
Matching activity. Print as many times as you wish, laminate, and create sets of cards for matching the English to the French.
3. Show the French - Do they Know the English? Slides 5 – 11
This is an alternative activity where you show your students the French and they have to remember the English. At the press of a button the English flies onto the screen. This could also be printed as an alternative display.
4. Slides 13 – 19 A bright and colourful display for your classroom.
MONTHS OF THE YEAR
4 Resources!
1. A clever PowerPoint where you can click on the different months of the year on the first slide and it jumps to a slide with that month in French. Great for whole class learning or for individuals or pairs to work at the computer.
2. A second interactive PowerPoint where, as a class you read through the months of the year as they appear on screen, to practice and become confident with pronunciation.
3. A display of the months of the year in French - just print slides 18 - 29.
4. The PDF is a sorting activity. Print, laminate and cut up the months of the year in French and English and ask your student to match them.
COLOURS
There are three activities and a display in this resource.
In the PowerPoint there is an interactive slide where anywhere you click on the colour wheel, or on the circles of colour, it takes you to a slide with that word in French. Work as a class or group, or set an individual or pair working at the computer.
Also in the PowerPoint is a display of 10 colours in French. Just press print!
There are two PDFs.
One is a sorting activity. Print, laminate and cut up the words so your classes can sort and learn.
The second are the French colour words for colouring in.
Just added! A 13th resource!!! Three word searches on one sheet. You guessed it - colours, days of the week and months.

This set of interactive PowerPoints generates a sum from the times tables every time you click within the circle. This allows you to choose a member from your class, click anywhere in the circle and a question will be revealed for that student. The PowerPoints cover:
2 & 5 Times Tables
3 & 4 Times Tables
6 Times Table
7 Times Table
8 Times Table
9 & 10 Times Tables
11 & 12 Times Tables
There is then a 'back button' to return to the circle after each sum.
This is a great way to assess learning through questioning.
I have also used this as an extension activity with pairs of students working at the computer and testing each other.

Easter Addition A bright and appealing Easter presentation to learn addition to 10. 10 slides show ten sums which when you click reveal the answer. Easter Subtraction In this 10 slide PowerPoint the naughty Easter bunny keeps taking the Easter items! (Eggs, rabbits, baskets etc). Children have to calculate how many items will be left after they are told that naughty Easter bunny is going to take certain number of Easter items away. The Easter bunny bounces onto the slide and the items disappear! Great fun!
