These are ideal to use after you have completed a topic or for revision purposes. I have included two booklets. One with just the translation as you would sit in an exam and the second is includes a brief word word bank for each translation to aid students. All are editable for your individual class needs.

This is a lesson I used for the first time this year and it worked really well with all my groups. (I had 6!) Included in the lesson are fact finding tasks, opportunities for student to highlight their prior knowledge and a questionnaire to endeavor to discover how students like to learn in lessons. This also asks students some information about the themselves that I use to build a rapport as the year progresses. It is a nice introduction to Spanish and you can do the lesson on computers OR as I have it laid out as a fact finding task. This lesson can be used as an introduction to the weather vocabulary in Spanish. Sometimes at the end of a lesson it’s nice for students to show their knowledge/learning in a way that does not involve you marking or students writing. I also find that for some students, written knowledge checkers can place them under unnecessary pressure, especially when you have just introduced a topic. These matching cards are fun for students and can be used as a challenge task, a group activity, a starter or a plenary. I like printing and laminating various copies and placing students in groups. We have competitions to see which group can finish first. There are 23 animals in this set. Please note that these files are .pdf only.
