This new resource will bring you a curriculum day of fun that requires critical reflecting thinking that will be perfect for your students from start to finish. ————————————————————————————————————— Healthy Habits Day – What’s it all about? During this Healthy Habits Drop-Down Day, students will explore the science of habit formation through the story of Lazy Lyle, whose brain, like all of ours, quickly forms habits for better or for worse. Through five one-hour sessions, students will create a visual display, engage in hands-on games, and have meaningful group discussions—all based around how habits influence behaviour and life outcomes. This PSHE Life Day is designed to equip students with insights and tools to understand and improve their habits, fostering both awareness and actionable change. To help in this process, each student will receive a 14-page Student Guidance Booklet and have session videos as well as session PowerPoint slides. **Learning Outcomes ** Understand Habit Formation: Learn how habits are formed and the factors that influence their development. Identify Healthy vs Unhealthy Habits: Distinguish between healthy and unhealthy habits and their impacts on personal well-being. Implement Habit Changes: Explore strategies for breaking unhealthy habits and establishing healthier ones through environmental adjustments. Recognise the Role of Peers: Examine how friends and positive peer pressure can influence habit formation and support healthy behaviours.
